Environmental stewardship is a corporate responsibility that Cano’s management and employees take very seriously. Cano works proactively with regulatory agencies to ensure that it meets and in many cases exceeds the standards with respect to environmental compliance. Upon acquiring an asset, Cano first allocates a budget to Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) upgrades. Safety rules and meetings are implemented for all employees and vendors. Environmental work includes cleanup of waste and hazardous materials, mechanical integrity testing and spill control systems. The upgrades provide a safe workplace, as well as ensure that sound environmental practices are being followed.
